Christoph Ritter (born 1970) studied pharmacy from 1991 to 1996 at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. In 1997 he started his PhD at the Dr. Margarete Fischer-Bosch Institute of Clinical Pharmacology in Stuttgart and persued his work at the Institute of Pharmacology at the University of Greifswald. He was awarded his PhD degree in 2000.

In 2001/2002 Christoph Ritter worked as a postdoc at Vanderbilt University and the Vandetbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, TN, USA. Returning in 2003 he was assigned Juniorprofessor of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Greifswald and holds a Professorship of Clinical Pharmacy there since 2009.
